The SR-PAX2 from Saramonic is a professional 2-channel mixer for the professional user. You can place your camera on top of the SR-PAX2, with the built-in 1/4" screw thread. After that, you need to attach the SR-PAX2 to your camera, with the included 3.5mm cable. You can place the SR-PAX2 and camera on a tripod. The SR-PAX2 features two types of input ports: XLR and 3.5mm. Both possibilites are described below:
The SR-PAX2 contains to balanced XLR ports. For both ports you can activate the phantom power. (optional) It's also possible to set the power-level individually for both ports on line, mic and PH.
The SR-PAX2 does have two 3.5mm mono input ports and one 3.5mm stereo input port. A button lets you switch between mono and stereo. The phantom power can be set on 3V and 5V. (optional) It's also possible to set the power-level individually for both 3.5mm ports on line, mic and PH.
You can set adjust the input level for both channels with the turning knobs. It's also possible to connect your headphones to the SR-PAX2, so you can decide what's the best input level. On the screen of the SR-PAX2 you can visually see the levels of both channels. The SR-PAX2 works on a 9V battery. On the side of the SR-PAX2 you can find a hotshoe, to attach for example a microphone holder or receiver.
